The Belmont Concerto - Create a Concerto
This 35-minute Despondent Productions film was commissioned by Bath Philharmonia. The Belmont Concerto features young musicians from the south west of England who spent a week lodging at Belmont House on the Belmont Estate in North Somerset with the sole purpose of writing and performing a concerto in 6 days. On Friday 16th October 2009, they performed The Belmont Concerto at Chew Valley School in Bristol.
The performance features award-winning Irish pianist David Quigley getting lively on the
iv'ry with Bath Phil conductor Jason Thorton wielding the baton.
